St. Augustine High School Dedicates New Theater

September 12th, 2018 was a joyous day at St. Augustine High School as the community gathered to dedicate and bless the new theater. The Mass was celebrated by Most Reverend John Dolan, auxilary bishop of San Diego, and he was joined by Very Reverend Kevin Mullins, OSA, prior provincial of the province, along with school chaplain Fr. Kirk Davis, OSA, Campus Minister Rev. Br. Maxime Villeneuve, OSA, and other Augustinian concelebrants.

Bishop Dolan spoke to the importance the arts and theater in his own life, especially as he attended Saints' rival school- University High School. He talked about how God can work through the arts and bring out the skills and talents that He has blessed us with.

The day concluded with a catered luncheon in the St. Augustine Commons, and an orchestra performance back in the theater. It was a particularly noteworthy day for the school, since this marks the conclusion of the multi decade master plan and building campaign.
