Br. Max Makes His Solemn Profession of Vows
On the evening of Monday, June 18th, 2018 in the St. Thomas of Villanova School Chapel in Ojai, CA, Br. Maxime Villeneuve, OSA made his Solemn Profession.
Solemn Profession is a lifelong commitment and consecration to live the remainder of one's life as an Augustinian friar. Br. Max joined the Augustinians in the Fall of 2013 when he began his pre-novitiate at the Cole Street house in San Francisco, CA.
During his years of formation, Br. Max completed a Masters in Divinity from the Catholic Theological Union in Chicago, IL as well as a year of supervised ministry at St. Augustine High School in San Diego, CA.
The Order of St. Augustine has a tradition in which the parents of a Solemnly Professed friar are affiliated, or made members of, the Order. Br. Max was able to assist Fr. Kevin Mullins, OSA, in presenting the document from the General Curia in Rome which affiliated his parents.
